About Us

Pathway to Potential (P2P) is a community-based collaborative strategy for reducing poverty and ensuring social and economic well-being for the residents of Windsor and Essex County. Poverty reduction is a critical first step toward creating a strong, healthy, and vibrant community. Because poverty affects the entire community, we see poverty reduction as a shared responsibility and believe there is a place for everyone within this strategy. Currently, P2P involves a network of more than 150 individuals, business, and organizations dedicated to reducing poverty. This network includes a multi-sector Roundtable and eight action-oriented Working Groups in the following areas:

  • Affordable Housing
  • Affordable Transportation
  • Child Care and Early Learning
  • Education and Employment
  • Health
  • Income Support
  • Public Awareness and
  • Advocacy Voices Against Poverty

In 2010 our work is strategically focused in the four key areas:

  • Affordable transportation for City and County residents;
  • Healthy, affordable, and accessible food for City and County residents;
  • Increased job training opportunities for City and County Residents; and
  • Increased community awareness and advocacy about poverty.

If you feel you have something to offer in any of these focus areas and would like to get involved, please contact us at info@pathwaytopotential.ca
